Most of the bathrooms of new apartments have no windows or only a samll window. Due to lack of space most bathrooms do not have the right orientation towards the sunlight for better ventilation and lighting. New apartment developments do not take into consideration this basic functional design elements that is necessary for a bathroom to work.
You need to get as much light as you can into your bathrooms to make it effecient and also to conserve energy. It is also a good idea to use light cool and warm colours for bathrooms in country tropical climate like Singapore.
When remodeling your bathrooms. make sure you have sufficient storage space below the vanity. Keep bathrooms organised and only store items neccessary in the bathroom . A well organised small bathroom is more functional than large bathroom without any domestic order. Instead of a tub, choose a shower, this will help you use better the space you have.
