New Ideas For Kitchen Designs in SG Lifestyle Today

Great Kitchen Designs

Today in SG LivingPod Lifestyle we are featuring some kitchen ideas that were conceived by thinking out of the box. From the land of Volvo , Saab, Lego and IKea of course !…it seems like this kitchen set have also benefited from the Scandinavian touch.

Munchausen, a duo formed by Parisian designers Simon Pillard and Philippe Rosetti, took a bold approach with their own kitchen by venturing to IKEA for the basic kitchen island and then spending the next week covering it with more than 20,000 pieces by another Scandinavian brand, Lego.

The result is a one-of-a-kind creation that serves as an artistic centerpiece for the space, in addition to functioning as a kitchen counter. Pillard, who works with fashion house JC de Castelbajac, and Rosetti who works with Hugo Boss France Identity, formed Munchhausen in 2004.

This Loft in Hamburg located in a restored building. The 118 square- meter residence in Wintertude district of Hamburg was designed by Graft. Like most lofts in Hamburg it has a high ceiling and a large white space. This Loft center piece is a large monolithic walnut self contain pod with a dream kitchen space and the bathrooms. It also hides the mechanical services like the central heating, cooling and plumbing. It also has some built in cupboards and bookshelves. The kitchen space  here….. we find which is interesting and functional if you have a loft space like this. The pod  design looks like it was inspired by the MonoLith that came out of the movie space Odyssey 2001.
