Oasis @ Elias 2 Bedroom Show Flat
The Oasis@Elias consists of six 18-storey blocks located along Elias Road in Pasir Ris. The 99-year lease, 388-unit condo is developed by CEL Development Pte Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Chip Eng Seng Corporation)as a modern beach resort type condo Scheduled to be completed by end 2012, the condo comes with “full facilities” which includes a tennis court, half a basketball court, a lap pool, and so on. There are 399 parking lots located in the basement and the multi-storey car park within the modern beach resort type condo devolpoment.
The bedrooms are standard size for new launches (i.e. always small) and come with the default bay windows you see in most new condos these days. The balcony is big enough to fit a small dining table and comes with a planter box. Homogeneous tiles line the living room floor and the bedrooms have timber flooring.
The bathroom fittings in the showroom are of decent quality, the toilet lid is “quiet close” (we always make it a point to lift the toilet lid) and the taps are Hansa – a German brand. The kitchen is rectangular, doesn’t feel crammed and comes with cooker hood, hob and oven. The bomb shelter is in the kitchen. Security-wise there is card access at pedestrian gates and audio intercom.
For a mass market condo, Oasis@Elias has some perks. It’s close to Pasir Ris Park, has a wonderful sea view, has the conveniences of Elias Mall and key shopping centres like IKEA Tampines and Tampines Mall.
If you’re considering Oasis for rental yield, relying on expatriates from Changi Business Park and students studying in the future fourth university might be a bit risky. Your unit will be competing with other residential units who are closer (Double Bay) or who are cheaper (nearby HDBs).
In all, Oasis@Elias scores well for its affordability, its location and its view. If you like living in the North-East (Tampines, Hougang, Pasir Ris or Simei) and feel it’s time for an upgrade, Oasis@Elias is worth thinking about.
