When the luxury of space or view is not available the next best thing to do is to plan an open concept dining. With an open concept dining, your views will extend beyond the dining space to create a spatial feel for your house. The communal aspect of dining calls for a design that heightens and enhances this social aspect. Using mirrors as a wall feature will make the space look much bigger then it really is.

Many designers actually say that dining room design can be more complicated precisely because of the absence of things in the room: it’s easier to cover up bad design with a bunch of stuff.  But in a dining room--with just a table, lights, flooring, and a number of other items–poor design sits right up and says, “Look at me!”
